Referral Contest!

Step-by-step instruction is at the bottom of the page.

Thank you for supporting SYMLIS Sparrow!

A “thank you” can’t fully express how much we appreciate your contribution to this project. That is why we create this referral contest, to give you rewards in return for helping us to bring this project to reality. Here is the breakdown of our referral contest. Claim a SYMLIS Sparrow to participate.

If anyone contributes to this project through a unique URL link that you refer to them, the referral contributions will appear on your Indiegogo account. We divide reward sections into several levels. The referral contributions may allow you to unlock levels to claim rewards depending on your perks. Be aware that different SYMLIS Sparrows have different reward structures.

For example, if this is your first time to claim a SYMLIS Sparrow and you choose a 32G Sparrow, you will be eligible for a referral contest. Each time your total referral contributions go over a specific level, there will be a reward unlocked for you.

In this case, at the end of this campaign:

If your referral contributions go over $150 but under $350. You will win an upgrade to 64G for your first SYMLIS Sparrow.

If your referral contributions go over $350 but under $500. You will win an upgrade to 64G for your first SYMLIS Sparrow, and a second SYMLIS Sparrow with 16G.

If your referral contributions go over $500. You will win  an upgrade to 64G for your first SYMLIS Sparrow, and a second SYMLIS Sparrow with 32G.

Right now only one of your SYMLIS Sparrows can use the referral contest. If you claim two or more SYMLIS Sparrows with different storage options together, you may assign referral contest to the one of your choice. You can email us regarding your choice. Perks other than SYMLIS Sparrows are not eligible for referral contest.

All-perks-reward for #1 referrer

If you brings the greatest referral contributions at the end of the campaign, you will win a collection of perks from each categories.

Questions Regarding USB OTG and iPhone

What is USB OTG (On-The-Go)?

USB OTG or just OTG, allows a mobile device, such as a smartphone, to become a host device to communicate with peripherals such as a flash drive, a mouse, or keyboard, as long as the host device can provide enough power output for those peripherals.

SYMLIS Sparrow’s USB OTG function won’t affect its other features.

SYMLIS Sparrow’s cable is USB to Micro USB, or USB to Lightning. Apple’s iPhone doesn't support OTG feature, but that won’t affect you from using Sparrow as a USB cable for your iPhone or as a flash drive on your PC.

A majority of Android and other smartphones & tablets support OTG (click HERE for OTG support device list). Unfortunately, Apple hasn't provided an explicit way to provide a similar function. you can use Sparrow as a regular USB cable for both your Apple devices.

I want my iPhone to read the flash drive data. Do you have any future plan to provide a similar feature for iPhone?

Adding flash drive support for iPhone is one of our future goals for the 2nd generation Sparrow. Even though Apple devices don’t support USB OTG, it is possible to bypass this by providing similar functions. Remember, SYMLIS LLC is a small startup company, and our resources are limited. Although we are as eager as you to see it happen, it will take considerable amounts of time and capital. The development of 2nd generation Sparrow will heavily depend on the success of 1st generation Sparrow.
